Logo size guide

Not sure how large your logo should be?

We have put together this guide to help you choose a size that works well for your hat and your artwork.

The right logo size depends on the hat style and the finish you choose. A design that looks great on a screen may need to be adjusted slightly to look its best when embroidered or transferred onto a hat.

EMBROIDERY

For standard embroidery, a typical front panel logo size is:

4.0" × 1.9"

This size works well for many standard logos and horizontal designs.

We also offer embroidery options with a typical size of:

4.0" × 1.7"

For puff embroidery, the typical logo size is:

3.9" × 1.7"

Puff embroidery adds dimension to your design by raising the stitched areas, making it a great option when you want your logo to stand out.

HEAT TRANSFER

For heat transfer, the typical logo size is:

4.3" × 2.6"

Heat transfer gives you more flexibility when working with detailed artwork, gradients, photographs, and designs containing multiple colors.

A FEW THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

Your logo does not always need to fill the entire available area. Sometimes a smaller, cleaner design looks much better on the finished hat.

Very small text and extremely fine details may not reproduce well with embroidery. If your design contains a lot of detail, multiple colors, gradients, or photographic elements, heat transfer may be the better choice.
